Our Story

Bloomington, Illinois quilt artist, wife and mom, offering custom baby quilts, memorial quilts, wedding quilts and specialty designs shipped globally.

I'm Missy Herrman, a lifelong Illinois native with a heart full of creativity and hands that love to stitch. My journey began during the quiet days of COVID, when my husband and I (both proud Illinois State University grads) found ourselves as empty nesters after raising two wonderful daughters.

Looking for a new purpose, I discovered quilting through online videos and quickly fell in love. I started with baby blankets, wedding quilts, and t-shirt memory quilts, learning as I went. A dear friend quilted my early tops and mentored me along the way. When a local quilter retired, I was blessed with the opportunity to acquire a Gammill long arm machine—and that’s when my passion truly took flight.

Each quilt I create is stitched with care, guided by God's gifts, and inspired by the stories people share. I delight in finding the perfect fabric to bring your vision to life—whether it’s a cherished keepsake or a heartfelt gift.

Thank you for stopping by. I’d be honored to help you wrap your memories in warmth and beauty.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why a Quilt?

A quilt is more than fabric and thread—it's a story stitched with love. It's warmth on a cold day, comfort during hard times, and a celebration of life's milestones. Whether it's a baby’s first blanket, a wedding keepsake, or a memory quilt made from cherished t-shirts, each quilt carries meaning that lasts for generations. Quilts wrap us in the past, present, and future. They honor tradition, express creativity, and reflect the unique spirit of the person they’re made for. That’s why I quilt—to help people hold onto what matters most.

How to Care for a Quilt

To care for a quilt, gently clean it, store it properly, and avoid harsh conditions that could damage its fabric or stitching. Quilts are more than blankets—they’re heirlooms, art pieces, and labors of love. Treat them with care, and they’ll wrap you in warmth for decades to come.
